Fabulous 🙂
Thanks Sarah!
Great collection! I especially like the dragonfly, rabbit picture #2, the mockingbird (caught in the act), and the dolphin.
Thanks Tom! The rabbit ran across in front of me and just stopped. It then started to eat some leaves in front of me then hopped away. The Mockingbird was eating some kind of bug.
awesome photos…great dragonfly and the cat tail is very cool. Nice collection of photos!
Thanks Heather! The dragonfly was really colorful! I couldn’t pass it up hahaha! The more colorful ones are harder to get, they rarely sit still.
Yes, I used to have a great many dragonflies when I lived lakeside, but not here, I think it is because I don’t have any flowers yet??? Not sure?
It’s bit early now for dragonflies especially if you live in the colder areas. You might see them late spring.
Oh for sure…we still have three feet of snow…so won’t be for some time…but I don’t have flowers either so that is necessary I think???
I don’t know if flowers matter but they like water and they actually breed in water.
Oh…I didn’t know that…well I guess the fact I lived lakeside is why there were so many around…
Awww, cygnets!!! And what a subtly lovely bird the gadwall is! Then you just throw that dolphin pick in for extra–what kind is it, do you know? Are they commonly seen in Jersey, DE, MD area?
Thanks Lori! The dolphin is, I believe an Atlantic Bottlenose. They are usually in the areas you mentioned from spring to fall. They head south in the winter to warmer waters. It might be a bit early to see them now. The one pictured is from last June.
Great shots, all! I especially like the mourning dove and dragonfly. Beautiful colors and focus – and subjects. (Thanks also for liking my post “Losing Light and Focus” 8^).
Wonderful pictures!
