Part two of my Thailand trip

Phuket (pronounced Poo-Get) is Thailand’s largest island west of the mainland in the Andaman Sea. known for it’s beaches, partying and amazing sunstes, is very popular the world over. I stayed in Kata Beach with Patong Beach not too far away. Both are known for their beaches and partying.

My trip to Phuket and the Phi Phi Islands (pronounced Pee Pee) were part of the tour package included in my Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai trip. This part of the trip though was what I was waiting for. I couldn’t wait to hit the beaches and live the party life style you only read about. This time, I was really living it.

Be sure to take advantage of the tour packages offered for extra excursions. They are really worth it. Some of the excursions took us to famous locations like Ko Phi Phi Leh where the movie “The Beach” was filmed with Leonardo DiCaprio, this was one of the most amazing beaches ever. Another famous location was James Bond Island (Ko Tapu) in the Phang Nga Bay. This island was made famous by the 1974 James Bond film “The Man With The Golden Gun”. These were just a couple of beautiful beaches I visited and each one was just as awesome as the next.

To get to these famous and remote locations, you have to go by boat. You can either make reservations with various tour groups or find a local willing to take you there on the cheap. Either way you won’t be disappointed.

One other island I visited was called Monkey Island. It is an island where wild monkeys come to see the tourists and get fed fruits. The monkeys will jump on you so be careful. There are also wild monkeys on Phuket itself with warning signs to be careful because the monkeys will bite.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy the nightlife after spending the day on the beach. There are so many to choose from that you can’t go wrong.

Anyway, on to the pictures.
