Back in 2007 I took a tour of Italy booked through Trafalgar Tours. This was an eight day tour to Rome – Venice – Lake Garda – Florence then back to Rome. You should only do this tour if you don’t mind doing extreme touring. Being only eight days and seeing four cities in that short time, you really don’t have time to do much except the scheduled tours. The tour provides rooms and transportation and is a great way to see a lot in a little amount of time and to make new friends.
Here are some of my images from the tour. Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed and I lost most of the pictures. The images below are what were salvaged from the hard drive and a few from a friend who was on the tour with me. Used with his permission.
Rome, filled with ancient architecture such as the Colosseum (Below)
Trevi Fountain (Below)
When visiting the Vatican, be prepared to stand in line for an hour or more. The lines stretched around the block and across the street.
Venice, known for the canals (Below)

Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy has beautiful mountain views, numerous hotels, bars and restaurants (Below)
