After Times Square, I am continuing my NYC walkthrough, this time with the Empire State Building.
With a 1,250 ft. roof height, it was the tallest building in NYC until the WTC buildings were built in 1972. Since the events of 9/11, the Empire State Building was once again the tallest. With the new FreedomTower nearing completion with an estimated 1,776 ft. height, the Empire State Building will once again be second tallest.
There are two observation floors. The highest being the 102nd floor which is enclosed but I opted for the 86th floor as it has an outside deck. No matter the floor, there are stunning views both day and night.
The night views depict romanticized notions of living in the city that never sleeps, clearly evident by the bright lights.
